Smile!!

Don't you hate it when someone tells you to smile? I mean, if someone is telling you to smile, that means that they've been watching you for the last however long to gauge if you've been smiling or not. In the mean time, the person being watched is thinking, 'Why are they watching me so much?' 'Is there something on my shirt?' 'Do they have the hot's for me?' Then all of a sudden you get told to, 'Smile!' :) Chances are that they were happy, before someone became fixated on them and started making them feel uncomfortable. If you want to make someone smile, you make the environment that person is in, pleasant to be in. You allow them trust, speak to them with respect & give them space to be themselves, to allow them to smile. It's like the phrase, 'have a great day', when someone says it, they mean, 'I hope you have a great day', not 'have a great day or I'll make sure I don't see you around here again'. Maybe you could compare it better with sex, one tries to make the other feel good, but you wouldn't really expect your partner to say, 'orgasm!', 'now!', then fire you if you fail to perform. Being told to do the things which come naturally to nearly everyone when given a conductive environment is unnatural and only done by those because it's been done to them before, or they simply just don't think about these things. Who know's. But if you want to make someone feel good, make yourself feel good and remember, smile!
